Solar Performance - March 2017

The numbers this month fell a bit short of expectations, in large part due to the continuing performance problems with the maximizer connected to panels A5 and A6. Gloomy weather also played a noticeable role in driving down performance. Compared to last year my electrical use was also up noticeably, presumably thanks to the new electric heat pump I had installed last month. I'll have another post up soon focusing more on that difference.

Looking at the individual panel data, the problem with panels A5 and A6 is very apparent. Each of them had only about 61% of the productivity of the others.

Breaking down the data by day shows that there were several days where A5 and A6 produced little or no power. I've been in touch with my installer, and they're working with the manufacturer to resolve the problem with new firmware.
